History

In 1998 Key Valve Technologies was appointed the exclusive sales representative and service station for control valve manufacturer Copes-Vulcan Inc. in the USA.

Control valve trims were developed in 1999, using labyrinth type multiple restriction orifice technology, sponsored by the Korean Government for its leading and innovative technology. In the year thereafter, the disc Spring Pack Loaded (SPL) parallel slide gate valve design was patented.

After KVT was awarded the HI-TECH enterprise award by the Korea Atomic Energy Institute (KAERI), in the year 2001 the manufacturing of high energy service control valves for KAERI was started.

In 2002, KVT moved to a new factory, equipped with sophisticated testing & inspection facilities and developed its desuperheater Spring Assisted Multi-nozzle Orifice (SAMO).

After years of cooperation, in 2009 Key Valve Technologies was acquired by HP Valves Oldenzaal B.V., a manufacturer of high pressure valves in The Netherlands. Supported by parent company Indutrade AB, a European group of companies all offering high-quality industrial niche products, KVT and HP Valves aim to further develop and strengthen their position as well-known and highly respected suppliers, providing a complete range of medium and high-pressure valves for power generation and petrochemical industries.

Pushed by strong growth, Key Valve Technologies moved to a new facility in 2009 and since then, major investments were done in CNC machinery as well as assembly and testing equipment to keep pace with growing demand. Capacity was again significantly increased and manufacturing processes and equipment further professionalized when opening the newly built factory in October 2013.
